Terms & Conditions
Last updated on August 26, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the BlueBox smart locker platform and related services provided by Bluebits Technologies Inc. (“Bluebits”, “BlueBox”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including BlueBox smart lockers, websites, mobile applications, management portals, notifications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms to the extent applicable to your use of the Services.
1. BlueBox Services
BlueBox is a smart locker platform that enables parcels, goods, and other permitted items to be securely deposited into and collected from smart lockers.
Depending on the location and configuration of a BlueBox locker, the Services may allow:
- delivery carriers and authorized personnel to deposit parcels;
- recipients to receive notifications regarding parcels;
- recipients to retrieve parcels using a pickup code, mobile application, or another authorized method;
- property managers and locker owners to administer locker services;
- users to reserve or use compartments for other authorized purposes; and
- integration with property management, delivery, ordering, building management, and other third-party systems.
Features and functionality may vary by locker location, Locker Owner, configuration, and service agreement.
Bluebits may modify, improve, add, limit, or discontinue features of the Services from time to time.
2. Locker Owners
A BlueBox smart locker may be owned, leased, operated, or administered by a property owner, property manager, business, institution, or another organization (“Locker Owner”).
A locker may be publicly accessible or restricted to authorized users.
The Locker Owner may establish additional rules concerning access to and use of its lockers, provided those rules do not conflict with applicable law or the Locker Owner’s agreement with Bluebits.
The availability of a BlueBox locker does not guarantee that a particular person, carrier, or parcel is authorized to use that locker.
3. Parcel Delivery and Pickup
BlueBox facilitates the deposit and collection of parcels but generally does not transport, sell, purchase, or take ownership of the parcels deposited into a locker.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Bluebits acts as a technology and locker-service provider between the relevant parties, which may include the Locker Owner, property manager, recipient, merchant, shipper, delivery carrier, supplier, or other service provider.
The transportation, purchase, sale, condition, contents, and delivery of a parcel may be governed by separate agreements between those parties.
When a parcel is deposited into a BlueBox locker, information associated with the parcel may be used to identify or notify the intended recipient.
4. Recipient Information
To provide the Services, Bluebits may receive or process information relating to parcel recipients, including:
- name;
- mobile telephone number;
- email address;
- unit or suite number;
- mailing or delivery address;
- parcel or order identifiers;
- locker location;
- parcel deposit and pickup information; and
- other information reasonably necessary to provide the Services.
This information may be provided directly by the recipient or obtained through a participating Locker Owner, property manager, property management system, merchant, delivery service, authorized integration, or other service provider.
When a recipient is not already registered in the BlueBox system, an authorized delivery carrier or other authorized person may enter contact information associated with the recipient’s parcel, including a telephone number appearing on a shipping label or other delivery information, for the purpose of facilitating delivery and notifying the recipient.
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Bluebits Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
5. SMS and Other Service Notifications
As part of the BlueBox smart locker service, Bluebits may send transactional and service-related communications concerning parcel and locker activity.
These communications may be delivered by SMS/text message, email, mobile application push notification, or other available communication methods.
Service-related communications may include:
- notification that a parcel has been deposited and is ready for pickup;
- pickup instructions or pickup codes;
- reminders regarding an uncollected parcel;
- confirmation that a parcel has been collected;
- notifications regarding returns or other locker transactions; and
- other operational or service-related notifications concerning BlueBox.
A mobile telephone number used for these notifications may be provided by the recipient, a Locker Owner, property manager, property management system, merchant, delivery service, or an authorized delivery carrier using contact information associated with the parcel.
Bluebits does not use telephone numbers obtained solely for parcel notification purposes to send unrelated marketing or promotional SMS messages.
Message frequency varies depending on parcel and locker activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Recipients may reply STOP to an applicable SMS message to opt out of future SMS messages. Recipients may reply HELP for assistance or contact Bluebits using the information provided in Section 18.
Opting out of SMS does not necessarily prevent Bluebits or the Locker Owner from communicating through other available methods when reasonably necessary to provide the Services.
6. BlueBox Accounts and Applications
Certain BlueBox Services may require creation of an account or use of a BlueBox application.
When creating or using an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information reasonably current.
You are responsible for:
- protecting your account credentials;
- selecting a reasonably secure password;
- preventing unauthorized access to your account; and
- promptly notifying Bluebits if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not access another person’s account without authorization.
Bluebits may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the user, the Services, Bluebits, a Locker Owner, or other persons from unauthorized or unlawful activity.
7. Pickup Codes and Access Credentials
BlueBox may provide pickup codes, QR codes, access credentials, links, or other methods for opening a locker compartment.
These credentials are intended for the authorized recipient or another person authorized by the recipient.
You are responsible for protecting any pickup code or access credential provided to you.
Bluebits is not responsible for unauthorized collection resulting from a recipient voluntarily sharing a valid pickup credential with another person, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use BlueBox for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to a locker, account, system, or network;
- interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the Services;
- damage, tamper with, reverse engineer, or improperly manipulate BlueBox equipment or software;
- use another person’s identity or contact information without authorization;
- use BlueBox to distribute spam or unlawful unsolicited communications;
- introduce malware, malicious code, or other harmful material into BlueBox systems; or
- use the Services in a manner that violates applicable law or the rights of another person.
9. Prohibited and Restricted Items
Unless expressly authorized by the Locker Owner and permitted by applicable law, BlueBox lockers must not be used to store or transfer items that are unlawful, dangerous, or reasonably likely to damage the locker or endanger people or property.
This may include:
- explosives or highly flammable materials;
- hazardous or radioactive materials;
- illegal drugs or controlled substances possessed or transferred unlawfully;
- unlawful weapons;
- live animals;
- leaking or improperly contained liquids;
- items whose possession, transportation, import, export, or distribution is prohibited by law; and
- items that may contaminate, damage, or create an unreasonable safety risk to the locker, other property, or persons.
Perishable goods or other specialized items may only be deposited where the particular locker and Locker Owner permit them.
Unless Bluebits expressly provides a temperature-controlled service with a specified service commitment, Bluebits does not guarantee that a locker compartment will maintain any particular temperature.
10. Parcel Size and Locker Availability
Parcels must fit safely within an available locker compartment.
Availability of a particular compartment size is not guaranteed.
Bluebits and the Locker Owner may refuse or prevent a deposit if a parcel:
- does not fit safely;
- violates these Terms or location-specific requirements;
- creates a safety or security concern; or
- cannot reasonably be accommodated by the locker.
11. Uncollected, Abandoned, or Prohibited Parcels
A Locker Owner may establish rules concerning how long parcels may remain in a locker.
If a parcel remains uncollected beyond the permitted period, Bluebits or the Locker Owner may, as applicable, remove the parcel from the locker or take other reasonable action in accordance with the applicable service agreement, Locker Owner policies, and law.
Where a parcel is reasonably suspected of being unlawful, dangerous, abandoned, or prohibited under these Terms, Bluebits or the Locker Owner may restrict access to it, remove it, or notify appropriate authorities where permitted or required by law.
12. Third-Party Services and Integrations
BlueBox may integrate with third-party services such as property management systems, delivery systems, ordering platforms, communications providers, identity services, or other software and services.
Bluebits is not responsible for the independent operation, availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services that are not controlled by Bluebits.
Information received from third parties may be relied upon by BlueBox in providing the Services.
Users, Locker Owners, carriers, and third-party service providers are responsible for the accuracy of information they provide to BlueBox.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
Bluebits processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
Bluebits maintains administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through the Services.
No electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should take reasonable precautions to protect their own accounts, devices, and access credentials.
For additional information about how Bluebits collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information, please review the Bluebits Privacy Policy.
14. Intellectual Property
The BlueBox platform, software, website, applications, designs, graphics, text, logos, trademarks, interfaces, documentation, and other BlueBox content are owned by Bluebits, its affiliates, or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, Bluebits grants authorized users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access and use the Services for their intended purposes.
Except where permitted by law or expressly authorized by Bluebits, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit BlueBox software or proprietary content.
15. Service Availability
Bluebits takes reasonable measures to maintain the availability and operation of the Services.
However, BlueBox may occasionally be unavailable or experience delays because of maintenance, equipment failures, internet or telecommunications outages, power failures, third-party service interruptions, security incidents, circumstances affecting a particular property, or other events.
Bluebits may temporarily suspend all or part of the Services when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, safety, upgrades, or other operational reasons.
16. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bluebits is not responsible for the manufacture, quality, condition, contents, sale, purchase, transportation, or underlying delivery of goods placed in a BlueBox locker by third parties.
Bluebits is not responsible for loss or damage resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by a user, delivery carrier, Locker Owner, property manager, merchant, shipper, or other third party, except to the extent caused by Bluebits or otherwise required by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bluebits will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Changes to These Terms
Bluebits may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, legal or regulatory requirements, security practices, or business operations.
When material changes are made, Bluebits will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
Continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
